Being a company highly steeped in design, Walter Knoll doesn’t leave anything to chance. Be it reinventing the brand or planning fair stands, the company strives to work with the best to achieve the best results possible.
Take imm cologne for example, one of the most prominent furniture shows in the world which inaugurates the “industry” year, every January. For the occasion, this year, Walter Knoll joined efforts with Ippolito Fleitz Group to design the exposition spaces within the fairgrounds. The move didn’t go unnoticed. In fact, the German Design Council, which annually honors interdisciplinary work within the realms of architecture and design with the Iconic Awards, picked Walter Knoll’s stand planned by Ippolito Fleitz Group as the winner in the category Interior. It comes as no surprise that both company and studio, who worked hard on the project, share the same vision as the German Design Council who believes that “the holistic approach to design and its quality often reveal themselves only in a larger context.”
